IPTV Smarters Pro is the most widely used IPTV app on Samsung TVs. It supports Xtream Codes API login (the method IPTV Storm uses), has a clean interface with Live TV, Movies, Series and EPG sections, and is completely free.
How to install: Open the Samsung App Store → search "IPTV Smarters" → Install → Launch → Select "Login with Xtream Codes API" → Enter your server URL, username and password from IPTV Storm.
Best for: First-time IPTV users who want a simple, reliable app that works out of the box.
Downside: The EPG (programme guide) is basic compared to dedicated EPG apps. Interface hasn't been redesigned in a while. Channel switching is slightly slower than IBO Player.

IBO Player is purpose-built for Smart TV platforms and has the cleanest interface of any IPTV app on Samsung. It features a proper grid-style EPG (Electronic Programme Guide), smooth channel switching, and supports multiple playlists.
How to install: Samsung App Store → search "IBO Player" → Install → Launch → Note the activation code on screen → Go to iboplayer.com on your phone → Enter the code and your M3U URL or Xtream Codes details → Channels load on your TV automatically.
Best for: Users who want the best EPG experience on Samsung. The grid guide looks and feels like traditional cable TV.
Downside: Free version shows ads between channel switches. The activation code setup adds an extra step compared to Smarters' direct login.

Smart IPTV has been around for years and is known for rock-solid stability. Once set up, it just works — no crashes, no freezing, no complex menus. The interface is minimal but functional.
How to install: If available in your Samsung App Store, search "Smart IPTV" and install. If not, you may need to sideload it. Launch the app → note the MAC address on screen → go to siptv.app/mylist on your phone → enter the MAC address and your M3U URL from IPTV Storm → channels appear on your TV within seconds.
Best for: Users who want to set it up once and never think about it again. The most "install and forget" option.
Downside: Costs €5.49 per device (one-time, not monthly). Has been removed from Samsung's store in some countries. No Xtream Codes support — M3U playlists only. Basic EPG.

If IPTV Smarters isn't in your Samsung App Store, Xtream IPTV Player is the closest alternative. Similar interface, similar features, same Xtream Codes login method. It's less polished than Smarters but gets the job done.

Best for: Backup option when Smarters is unavailable in your region.
Downside: Fewer features than Smarters. Less frequent updates. EPG can be unreliable.

OTT Navigator is the most powerful IPTV app available, with deep customisation, auto-quality selection, and support for every login method. However, it's not in the Samsung App Store — you need to sideload it via a USB drive or developer tools.

Downside: Sideloading on Samsung Tizen is more complex than on Android. Not recommended for beginners. The interface can be overwhelming.

Try changing your Samsung account region: Settings → General → System Manager → Samsung Account → sign out → create new account with US or UK region. Alternatively, use a Firestick.
"IPTV Smarters shows black screen after login" — Check your server URL starts with http://. Verify username and password have no spaces. Try clearing the app cache: Settings → Apps → IPTV Smarters → Clear Cache. If the issue persists, contact us on WhatsApp.
"App crashes when loading channels" — Your TV may need a software update. Go to Settings → Support → Software Update → Update Now. Also try: Settings → Apps → IPTV Smarters → Clear Data, then re-enter your credentials.
"Channels are buffering" — Usually a network issue, not an app issue. Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi. Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 in Settings → General → Network → IP Settings. Read our full buffering fixes guide for more solutions.
"EPG shows wrong times" — In the app's settings, find the EPG/Time Shift setting and adjust it to match your timezone. In Smarters: Settings → EPG Timeshift. In IBO Player: Settings → EPG → Time Offset.
After installing your app, adjust these Samsung TV settings for the best IPTV experience:
Picture mode: Set to "Standard" or "Movie". Avoid "Vivid" or "Dynamic" — they over-process the image and add input lag on live streams.
Motion smoothing (Auto Motion Plus): Turn OFF. Settings → Picture → Expert Settings → Auto Motion Plus → Off. This removes the "soap opera effect" and reduces lag on live sport.
DNS: Change to Google DNS. Settings → General → Network → Network Status → IP Settings → DNS → Manual → enter 8.8.8.8. This speeds up channel loading.
Video decoder: In your IPTV app settings, set the player to "Hardware Decoder" if available. This uses your TV's built-in processor for smoother playback instead of software decoding.
